陈文海，男，华南师范大学党委常委、副校长。1967年2月生于江苏省淮阴县（今淮安市淮阴区），历史学教授，博士生导师，珠江学者特聘教授，教育部高等学校历史学科教学指导委员会委员。长期从事世界中世纪史、法国史以及西方历史文献学等领域的教学与研究工作。在《中国社会科学》、《历史研究》、《世界历史》等刊物上发表学术论文多篇，在商务印书馆、人民出版社等出版机构出版学术专著、译著、教材多部，主持国家社科基金重点项目、一般项目、后期资助项目等国家及省部级科研项目多项，获广东省哲学社会科学优秀成果一等奖、二等奖多项。2011年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划，2012年入选广东省珠江学者特聘教授。
